Title: More Cissia
Post by: kdjong on Mon, 12 June 2017, 06:42:40 AM
The bigger dots on the underwing seems to vary in size and location. Same seems to go for the lighter paths on the underwing. Difficult stuff...

This one was also found on Brownsberg, February '17.

Thanx,
Klaas

I was told by Sven Bontenbal that this should be Pareuptychia lydia, recognizable by the broadening of the white band on the underwing.

I understand that this was only described as 'most likely' to occur in Suriname in Hajo Gernaat's book on butterflies of Suriname. I guess this may be changed to 'sure' in the next edition.

Smiles,
Klaas
