Title: Gecko Ralleigh Falls, Suriname | Hemidactylus mabouia (Gekkonidae)
Post by: Pieter1983 on Sun, 26 January 2020, 04:54:30 PM
Hi people,

I was hoping someone could help me identifying this gecko.

Seen at Ralleigh Falls, Suriname, in a wooden building. The size I can't really remember, but substantially larger then the House Gecko as I recall correctly.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

Pieter de Groot Boersma

I think this is Thecadactylus rapicauda.

Hemidactylus mabouia to me. Thecadactylus rapicauda does not have such large rough/spiny scales on the back, legs and tail.

Cheers, Auke :-)
