I found both of these praying mantises on Nassau mountain, Suriname. The green (upside down) one is really big barely fitted on my handpalm. The second one is really small, about 3-4 centimerers.

The first mantis is in the genus macromantis. The second one is Calliba diana. These are both adult females and amazing finds!

Thank you for your reply Brian!

Could the first one be a Macromantis hyalina?

As as for the second one, i can't find one picture online, what kind of literature did you use for this one?

Hi.

The Macromantis specimen probably belongs to ovalifolia: even though I cannot expand the picture, it seems to me like the specimen has 5 outer spines on the fore-femora and a rather narrow costal field.

Greets,
C.

I apologize I misspelled. Callibia diana is the real name.
