Callistethus ? - Rutelinae (Scarabaeidae) | Callistethus sp.
« on: Wed, 07 December 2016, 01:24:12 PM »
Hi,

I think this is a species of genus Callistethus (at least the similar N American specimens from Florida ended I have IDed as Callistethus marginatus) is possible to say more or recommend a paper to identify them.

A male and his genitalia (with inflated endophalus) ... the only male until now.

Thanks,
Cosmin

Hi,

Yes, this is what I have in my collection as a Callistethus too. I have to look in the descriptions of Ohaus and other autors to find out what species this is.
That will be very time consuming because there are very much Anomala and Callistethus species and a lot of Callistethus were described as Anomala.
