« on: Thu, 26 October 2017, 10:24:02 AM »

A few marroons here in Suriname were using this liana where the oxygen gets exracted from the water and all fish have to come to the surface where they are caught . I quickly got some different species as i was in a hurry, therefore the photo's are nog great and the measuring lint is lacking, but hopefully you can help me with the species?

The three elongated specimens in the last photo seem to be knife fishes (family Gymnotidae). Hopefully our member Kenneth can give some more precise IDs.

BTW, it is preferred to start a new topic for every species. That helps to prevent confusion within the topic and allows for the titel of the topic to be accurately changed once the ID is known.

Cheers, Auke
