Hi all,
Here's a photo of a very nice natural phenomena: iridescent clouds. It is said to be relatively common, but this was the first time I ever saw it. However, I don't habitually look at clouds, so I may have missed them multiple times... These colors are caused by the diffraction of light in the billions of tiny ice crystals or water droplets that form the clouds.

Seen last August late in the afternoon near Onverwacht in the district of Para, Suriname.
Cheers, Auke
