I've seen this one many times on my forest walk can anyone help me?

Yes, order Orthoptera. This is a female katydid (family Tettigoniidae) of the genus Acanthodis. I can't give a specific ID. Their patterning is probably to camouflage themselves on tree trunks covered with lichens.
