Shrub on the beach | Talipariti tiliaceum (Malvaceae)
« on: Fri, 23 August 2019, 11:08:47 PM »
This shrub is growing on the beach in Suriname. I can't find its ID yet, but the flowers remind me somewhat of the family Malvaceae. The flowers were closed when I visited during the day. Please assist with the ID.

Cheers, Auke

Thanks again!

Also not in "flor des bords de mer.' Odd, if is in indeed common. I think I may have seen the photos on your website, but have dismissed them because your specimen has less elongate leaves, and less striking but more numerate primairy veins.
